From a snapshot of children aged 7 to 11 across Scotland, new figures show almost all (98%) understand and know that potatoes grow in the ground — however, those that got it wrong believed they came from McDonalds, the freezer or incredibly, even chickens!
The research comes as the Potato Story bus embarks on its tour of Scottish primary school. The purpose-built bus has been created to educate children about where their food comes from.
